I thought I would give this “paper tole” technique a whirl. It is basically layering and giving the image dimension- hard to capture with a photo but I think you could see the layers.I used MFT- “You Take The Cake” set for this Birthday card. This is colored with SU MM Markers and the tp and bottom of the card is cuttle bugged with swiss dots (because I cannot live without my lil bug) leaving the center without texture. Simple and cute… I like the dimension..

My husbands partner/best friend is getting married in Vegas this July and they asked me to make their “save the date” cards and wedding invitations. I put a lot of stress on myself because I wanted to make them perfect, simple yet elegant. I have 75 wedding invites to make and this is what I came up with:

It was A TON of work! I used Ivory card stock and made gate folds for the invite. I cuttle bugged “Birds and swirls” the top and bottom leaving the middle blank fort the ‘belly band” the band has a strip of tacky tape and clear glass micro beads. The Heart is a marvy punch and dot embossed.
The reply cards are coordinated with the invite using the heart punch with dotted embossing popped up for dimension.
I think they came out pretty and would certainly never do any work that I wouldn’t want to use for my own wedding. ALOT OF WORK THOUGH!
The “save the date” cards were more fun and informal and we wanted to do a “Vegas- theme” This is what I came up with…The inside has a deck of cards sprawled out with information regarding travel arrangements… I got the dice/polka chip brads from oriental trading co- sooo cute!
